ClariVein/Flebogrif
(Mechanochemical ablation)
A next-generation treatment method without physical or thermal damage, unlike conventional surgery.
ClariVein/Flebogrif
New Medical Technology
This is one of the latest and most advanced treatments for varicose veins, regarded as a third-generation therapy alongside VenaSeal. Unlike traditional surgical stripping (which causes physical damage) or laser/radiofrequency surgery (which causes thermal damage), this is a NTNT (non-thermal, non-tumescent) technique, also known as MOCA (Mechanochemical Ablation).
The procedure involves injecting STS (sodium tetradecyl sulfate), a sclerosing solution used in conventional sclerotherapy, into the diseased vein while simultaneously applying mechanical stimulation to the vein wall. This dual action closes the refluxing vein effectively. Whereas conventional sclerotherapy had limitations in treating large-diameter veins, this advanced method overcomes that barrier, making it applicable even to larger veins. Although introduced earlier overseas than VenaSeal, it was officially approved for use in Korea in May 2018.

CLARIVEIN
At Charm Vascular Clinic
A treatment with minimal pain and no scarring.
At our clinic, procedures are performed under both sedation by an anesthesiology specialist and local anesthesia, ensuring a completely painless experience.
Because the procedure requires only a tiny puncture, there is virtually no scarring. Dr. In-Soo Park of Charm Vascular Clinic had already accumulated extensive experience with Clarivein even before it was introduced in Korea. He also visited the hospital of Dr. Tang in Singapore—the first in Asia to present research on Clarivein—for an official observership.
Charm Vascular Clinic was the first in Korea to perform both Clarivein and Flebogrif procedures. Dr. Park has delivered over ten academic presentations on the subject, and specialists from Thailand, Taiwan, Indonesia, the United Kingdom, and other countries have visited our clinic to observe his techniques.
Clarivein / Flebogrif
Unmatched Clinical Experience!
Dr. In-Soo Park was the first in Korea to perform Clarivein and Flebogrif procedures, and he also presented the first clinical research results on these treatments in Korea.
Advantages of Clarivein / Flebogrif Treatment
-
Less Physical Damage
This method does not remove the vein itself, which significantly reduces damage to surrounding healthy tissues during the procedure.
-
Rapid Recovery
Compared to other treatments, it causes the least post-operative pain and allows for the fastest recovery.
-
Wide Treatment Range
It can be applied to various areas, including veins close to the skin and those below the knee.
-
No Additional Incision
The adhesive effect seals branch vein junctions, reducing the need for additional vein removal.
-
Minimal Use of Compression Stockings
Medical compression stockings are needed for about 1-2 weeks.
Precautions after treatment
-
01
Fasting before surgery is required. It is best to drink only water. Precautions for treatment
-
02
You can take high blood pressure drugs, but do not take diabetes medication. Hypoglycemia can occur.
-
03
Avoid driving and use public transportation.
-
04
Short swimming or bathing is possible, but it is recommended to do it for 2-3 weeks for no more than 20-30 minutes.
-
05
Placing your legs higher during sleeping can help you recover.
