What is Surgical stripping?
It is the oldest surgical method that has become the basis of varicose vein treatment.
It is a treatment that removes the problematic root vein (saphenous vein) by pulling it out of the body through a surgical method. In the past, the incision was made about 3~4cm, but recently,
the operation is performed through a micro incision of less than 5mm~1cm.
It has been accepted as the most definite treatment in terms of direct removal of blood vessels,
but it may also cause reoccurrence. The disadvantage is that certain scars must occur and accompanied by bruises and pain after surgery. However, if the diameter of the blood vessel is too large, the aneurysmal change is severe, close to the skin, or accompanied by thrombosis, extensive stripping is necessary.Therefore, it is a necessary surgical treatment for varicose veins.

Precautions after treatment

Some weep or blood may come out of the needle scarBut it will be stop in a couple of days.Do not worry and take a light shower.

Compression stockings should be worn as much as possible for 1-2 weeks. However, if the stocking allergies are severe, please call us.

Take the medicine prescribed and if you feel pain after finishing the prescription medicine, take some painkiller which can get any pharmacy

You may feel discomfort if walking too much so please don't overdo it. However, light walking is recommended

Drinking may cause inflammation of the surgical site, so avoid drinking for a while.

Placing your legs higher during sleeping can help you recover.

The surgical site may feel tight, which is a normal feeling, and it will gradually disappear.
